This is a free tool that helps remove duplicate files from the computer. Detecting and removing duplicates not only saves some space but helps the system run faster. Once all the redundant files are identified, you are given a choice of what to do with the files. You may decide to keep them or remove the files. The tool has a very simple interface. Practically no user should have any problems using the tool. Really the only thing you have to set are the file extensions. The top option is to do it with all file extensions, though the developers do not recommend it. After the file extension has been chosen, all you need to do is to click on the “start” button. There is an “Instructions” tab that provides detailed help about the operations to be done.
Since the duplicates are removed only after the user agrees with it, there are no possibilities of corrupting your data. The interface lists all the file names found. File size, creation date and last accessed date are displayed. You are able to clearly determine if that is the file you want to remove. The file to be removed is to be selected through single click from the list. If necessary, you could exit the process too. This is a very simple tool for a small niche. However, if you have a need, this is a good tool to try out. Some of this kind of files provides additional means of finding duplicates by date, by size and other criteria, etc. It is a good product.
