Unexplicable problem on laptop - WIn Xp SP3 - suddenly system won`t boot. Have a second partition, on drive D with XP Pro (SP2 as it happens). Boot Drive D, can see drive C, apart from when I traverse to My Documents, and get @Access denied@ ---- tried everything - used backup (to file on drive D, and subsequent restore to file on drive D - same prob - @access is denied@... DOH DOH DOH.... foud this freeware, downloaded, ran it - extracted the @one@ file I REALLY NEEDED and it WORKED. FIRST TIME. I am SOOOOOOO IMPRESSED. Now recoveringg all of @MY Documents@ --- thanks very much - I have been here before in the older days of FAT32 and I was thinking of doing a prog in VC /VB whatever to try to get access to these files - but - you are way ahead of me. Thanks again!!!! COOL !!!
