DupeChecker will show you all duplicated files and folders. You can delete them or move to another folder, so increasing a lot of useful disk space. Running this application once a month will make your system work faster than now.

Pros: DupeChecker is a disk cleaning and file utility that lets you remove all duplicate files and folders. Over time, a lot of duplicate files usually build up. They take up space besides creating irritation when trying to find the file/folder. You can find duplicates by name, size or for exact same content that compares files byte by byte. Date & time modified is another criterion. The application is able to discover all files and folders with exact duplicates elsewhere on the system multiple drives (Hard Drives, Flash, Floppy, USB, Jaz Drive & Mapped Network drives. It finds all duplicates that are there, finds even files with zero content.

Tools the DupeChecker uses are safe and provide easy deletion of duplicate files. DupeChecker will help you copy, remove duplicate files, move dupe files and folders from place to place. Configurable filters makes specifying search criteria quite easy. These include include, exclude or match filters. It has pre-configured filters for Internet files, Microsoft Office files, Graphic files, Sound and Music files and Movie files Filters. Customized filters can be saved so that you can use them again on another search. Reports generated are powerful. Colors separate out duplicates that are folder duplicates, content duplicates and name duplicates. The interface is styled on the familiar Windows explorer user interface and shows file sizes in KB, MB or GB. The program can handle FAT, FAT 32 and NTFS file systems.

Cons: While the space argument is not all that meaningful, the ability to clean up and organize files saves a lot of stress and irritation.

Overall: Nice enough application with a familiar and easy to use interface this is good for at least 3 stars.
