     If you maintain a website or a home page, you have come across the tedious task of substituting tedious special characters in an HTML file to make it look properly in all encodings under most browsers. Small symbols like ©, & and ® would eat up lots of time if one was to do it manually across a multipaged Word document. Use HyperText Translator to do it in seconds.
     HyperText Translator is a tool that lets you convert special characters from any source such as a plain text file or a Word document to proper HTML code. It also lets you convert things back - from HTML source to plain text as well as remove unnecessary white space in a text snippet, thus reducing its size. The interface of the program resembles one of online translators: one form field is for the input, the other is for the output. The program determines the source (plain text or HTML) automatically and lets you insert breaks in place of line endings in plain text files. What's more, you can add your own characters and tags to the replace list, thus extending the possibilities of the program.
