     The days of Norton Commander are over, but a bout of nostalgia seizes one when one sees a similar file manager. The basic features of NC were, at the time, more than anyone would need. Nowadays a file manager hasn't a right to exist if it doesn't have an FTP manager, a viewer for different file formats and lots of other just as useful features. Frigate has all of the above and much, much more.
     Frigate is a powerful file manager with a bunch of built-in tools for every day of the week. It is amazing how the developers of the program managed to cram into three megs of disk space so many additional tools and features. Apart from the common things like viewers, an FTP client and a plain text editor it has loads of tools ranging from phone book to size manager. It even has a built-in calculator and a music player! Evidently, the only thing Frigate is not capable of making is bacon and eggs.
