sMaRTcaPs is a Windows utility that eliminates all of the annoyances with the Caps Lock, Num Lock and Insert keys, saving you time, money and frustration. And it works in the background for all of your Windows 95 and later applications.

sMaRTcaPs prevents all accidental touches of these keys yet allows full functionality by adding an adjustable time delay to each key so it must be purposely held before it will toggle. Optional sounds let you know exactly when each key toggles states, not just when the key has been touched. 2 types of visual indicators for the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys allow even notebook computers to clearly show each state. The startup settings for these keys can be set in systems that do not provide this capability with optional sounds for these startup states.
