Here's how: Open up your Control Panel from the Start Menu (click Start | Settings | Control Panel); double-click the Network applet; select TCP/IP Dial-up Adapter in the menu; click the Properties button; click the Bindings tab; uncheck the File And Printer Sharing check box; click OK; click OK again. Repeat this process of you have more than one TCP/IP Dial-up Adapters. Restart the computer. (Note: This disables the File And Printer Sharing component only for the Dial-Up Networking adapter. There is a denial of service vulnerability that affects Windows NT 4.0 Windows 95, 98, 98 Second Edition and Windows Me. (Windows 2000 is not affected by this vulnerability.)
