     The so-called spyware is free ad-supported software that installs a module that collects information about the user (location, activities online etc.) without their knowledge. While software developers can't be blamed for placing ads in their products, spyware modules are not so heartily welcomed by most users. If you'd like to know how many of programs installed on your computer contain those scary parasites, use Ad-aware.
     Ad-aware is a great tool that scans your computer for spyware modules and programs and removes them. It scans the memory, the registry and hard drives. Once the system has been scanned, you get a cheerful congrats message ("No spyware on your system!") or a list of spyware modules. Then you can select the modules you'd like to delete and click 'Continue'.
     Note that some programs that use spyware modules will stop working with the modules removed, so be careful when choosing whether to give up a piece of free software or clear your system of spyware. Download this free tool today and learn which software is infected with those nasty parasites.
