This is a tool that shows applications, processes running on a system and CPU, disk and network usage.

Auslogics Task Manager shows how much CPU, RAM, Disk Usage or Internet bandwidth is used by the processes running on your computer. Unlike the Microsoft task manager, this tool also shows the services and open files. This clearly shows which programs keep which files open. It then can show rogue programs such as Trojans inside the explorer.exe, a legitimate program. The data on system services could be very useful. Some of these, which you may not be using at all, may keep consuming substantial system resources and slow you down. You pick off the choices from the interface. If you want to see only the applications running, or the processes or the services running, that is switched through clicks. You could get a view of locked files and that should tell you which application/process is locking the file and if it is legitimate. In all of these display modes you get an indication if the application/process is trustworthy or not.

The biggest difference and the most value of this utility comes from this separation of the display, in my opinion. You get clear view into one class of issues at a time, which is very valuable. Each display mode also has graphic displays of traffic activities on the disk, on the network and the utilization percentage of CPU and memory. The clean interface is an asset to this program. This task manager can easily add value in monitoring if anything untoward is happening, any rogues using up system resources.
