Pros: Feed2Html is a free PHP script that converts data from RSS to HTML. Publishing news becomes extremely easy by installing this script and publishing from a RSS feed you may have on site already. This script updates web pages on the fly and keeps the RSS feed items ready to be scanned/processed by the search robots. To output information, site templates are used that help to embed the page generated by the script into any web site. Use this script to create new web pages or to embed information from an RSS feed to existing web pages.

The feed2html.php script uses templates to generate its output. The templates allow you to easily control what the resulting webpage will look like. A template can be used to generate a complete web page, or a portion of a web page like a table (which can then be included into an existing webpage). Feed2Html templates are simple text files that contain special variables as well as the formatted text. These variables used to tell Feed2Html where to insert data. Besides variables, special commands in templates are used to mark the beginning of the part of the template, common for all items of your RSS feed.

Before using the script, it should be properly configured. This can be done in one of the following two ways. First method is to set all parameters manually by editing the script code by opening the PHP script file in any text editor and editing the specific parameters. The second way is a parameter passing method. The parameters are the website URL, the RSS feed URL, template URL and the maximum count of items one wants to display.

Cons: No apparent problems here.

Overall: This is a good piece of script that implements a very useful functionality and does it well. Certainly a 4 star package.
