This program creates a hotspot on a Windows computer.
Virtual Hotspot is a free software router for Windows based systems. It is compatible with Windows versions right up to the version 8. This utility sets up a router such that other Wi-Fi devices in the vicinity can access the Internet through this created hotspot. The machine on which the program runs will have to be connected to the Internet by any one of the available means, of course. This may be any internet connection Via Wireless Internet through Wi-Fi or LAN or Cable Modem or Dial-up or Cellular, etc. The devices that share the Internet in the vicinity of the tool could be a smartphone, a laptop or even a desktop. These devices will be able to connect to this Virtual Wi-Fi Hotspot just like any other Wi-Fi Router. This Virtual Wi-Fi hotspot is protected by Password and the underlying security is WPA2.
The simple interface lets you select a name of the Wi-Fi network and set the security key simply by typing in the details on the router machine. The clients connect in the usual way. The router interface will also display the IP address and the MAC address details of clients connected with the router. It has a refresh button. Clicking on it updates the details of clients connected to the router. An “Autorun” and a “Start” button let you manage the operation of the program. This tool is a freeware. It is quite a handy tool when you need to set up a quick access to Internet for some devices in a hurry.
