     Plain text editors have come in vogue a couple of years ago. Programmers have been always using them, but for an ordinary users a plain text editor became a treat much later. They are useful for those who write diaries, make notes as they work or browse the Internet etc. Most users have already made their choice and use a more advanced text editor than Notepad. If you haven't picked anything definite or look for a change there is Texter for you today.
     Texter is a simple plain text editor with but a few basic features, such as creating and editing files. Petty features include current time and date insertion with a click of a mouse, easy switching between Roman and Arabic numerals, different Cyrillic encodings support, changing letters case. There is also a possibility of downloading free plugins with enhancements. You can also program a plugin yourself under Delphi if you like. The program has a Russian interface and does not support other languages for the time being.
